Lucknow: Veteran batsman Virat Kohli batted brilliantly in the match played between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala. Often people raise questions about Virat's strike rate but in this innings he played aggressively and batted at a strike rate of around 200. After a brilliant inning in the match, Kohli has given a big reaction regarding his strike rate.

He said, “It was very important for me to keep the strike rate right (laughs). I was just concentrating on scoring runs with the same pace. It was a difficult period after Rajat Patidar was out and due to rain there was a slight break in our run rate. Once I was completely settled, I knew that now big shots would have to be played. The wicket was dry from below and had grass on top. That's why the ball was swinging a little in the beginning.”
In this match against Punjab, Kohli faced 47 balls and scored 92 runs with the help of 7 fours and 6 sixes. His strike rate during this innings was 195.74. Although he missed scoring his century, he gave a good start to his team and played an important role in reaching the big score. Batting first in this match, RCB scored 241 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs.
