Delhi: Despite playing with only 9 players, Australia won the ICC World Cup 2024 practice match against Namibia, but the Kangaroos lost their second practice match against West Indies. In this match, Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell scored stormy half-centuries. It is worth noting that West Indies is one of the contenders to win the World Cup on home ground.

In the last match against Namibia, Josh Hazlewood bowled 4 overs and 3 maiden overs, but against West Indies, he conceded 55 runs in 4 overs and did not get any wicket. Adam Zampa took 2 wickets for 62 runs. Tim David and Ashton Agar took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Australia scored 222 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Josh Inglis scored 55 runs in 30 balls. Nathan Ellis scored 39 runs in 22 balls. He hit 4 fours and 2 sixes. David Warner (15), Ashton Agar (28), Mitchell Marsh (4), Tim David (25), Adam Zampa (21) and Josh Hazlewood (3) also made important contributions, but their innings could not help the team win.
For West Indies, Alzari Joseph and G Moti took 2-2 wickets. Akeel Hussain, Shamar Joseph and Obed McCoy took 1-1 wickets. Puran was adjudged the Man of the Match for his fiery innings.
West Indies warned other teams
