In fact, the name of former India opener and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) mentor Gautam Gambhir is currently being considered as the frontrunner for the post of head coach of India. Let us tell you that earlier the names of Australia's Ricky Ponting and Justin Langer were also included in this race but they have refused to take responsibility for this post and now Gambhir's name is leading. He had given Kolkata the third title in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, which makes him a strong contender. Now regarding this, Ganguly shared a cryptic post on his official X account.

He wrote, “The importance of a coach in one's life, their guidance and constant training shape the future of any person both on and off the field. So choose the coach and the institute wisely.”

Although the former Indian captain has not taken the name of BCCI here, but it is being linked to the post of head coach of India. In such a situation, the question arises that what does Ganguly want to say. Is he not in favor of making Gambhir the head coach? However, the answers to all these questions will be found very soon because the name for the post of head coach of India can be announced soon.

If media reports are to be believed, the deal between BCCI and Gambhir has been finalised and he will be the next head coach. Now it will be interesting to see when BCCI finally approves the name of India's head coach.
