In such a situation, the team needed another bowler other than Starc in the death overs who could come there and bowl well. In such a situation, Harshit bowled well in the last overs and made his team the champion. He played a total of 12 matches this season and took 19 wickets and with this he became the second highest wicket-taker for Kolkata this season. After the brilliant performance, he has given a big statement during a conversation with the Indian Express.

He said, “I want the Indian jersey. It does not matter whether I get a T20, ODI or Test match jersey.”

Let us tell you that during a match played against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Eden Gardens, he gave a flying kiss to Hyderabad opener Mayank Agarwal after getting him out. In that match Porel scored 16 runs in my first over. If sixes are hit then the ego will be hurt, I will not smile after that. In the next over I took his wicket and celebrated but after this I was banned.”
