On Sunday, vice-captain Hardik Pandya could not fly with the first batch of the Indian team. However, Pandya has now reached America and has joined Team India. Let us tell you that according to all the media reports, Hardik was present in London at that time due to some personal reasons, due to which he did not go with the team, but now the star all-rounder has joined the Indian squad and has also started preparations for the World Cup.
Let us tell you that Hardik has joined the Indian team and he himself has given this information. The star all-rounder shared pictures on the social media platform X and wrote, “On national duty.” In the pictures shared by the 31-year-old, he is seen practicing with other players.
Team India will expect a good performance from Hardik in the T20 World Cup as he is going to prove to be an important player in the last overs. Pandya can play a very important role not only with the bat but also with the ball. However, his form remains a matter of concern at present as the veteran all-rounder was seen struggling in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. In such a situation, Indian fans will hope that Hardik will leave the past behind and perform well in the blue jersey.
India will play its first match in this World Cup against Ireland on 5 June at the newly built Nassau International Cricket Stadium in New York. On June 9, they will face their arch rival Pakistan on the same ground.
