Lucknow: Former Australian great fast bowler Brett Lee has made a big statement about Indian team's star pacer Jasprit Bumrah and said that apart from Bumrah, no other bowler is currently bowling like this. Let us tell you that in today's era of cricket, there is not much left for the bowlers because the pitches are being made flat, due to which big scores are made in T20 cricket. In this format, scoring 200 runs has now become a common thing and bowlers are beaten a lot. However, in the meantime, Bumrah is running in a different rhythm and is bowling economically.

Brett Lee believes that other bowlers apart from Bumrah are not trying to bowl yorkers and that is why more runs are being scored against them. In fact, in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, teams crossed the 250-plus mark 8 times. A lot of runs have been scored against the bowlers this season and Lee has given a big reaction to this. Recently the Legends Intercontinental T20 League has been launched. On this occasion, the former Australian bowler has given a big statement during the conversation.
He said, “I want to see fast bowlers bowling more yorkers. I don't think they don't bowl enough yorkers in the death overs. I am all in favour of batsmen playing shots on any side of the field but there should be something for the bowlers as well. I don't want too much grass to be left on the pitch and the whole team gets all out for 110 runs because it will not be good for cricket.”
The former Kangaroo player further said, “I think you want a good score in T20 cricket and I think a good score is between 185 to 230. We have seen scores of more than 270 so far. It is going to be really tough because all the bowlers are conceding 45 to 50 runs in their 4 overs. Bumrah has bowled a lot of yorker balls this season and that is why he has been very successful this season. Apart from him, other bowlers are struggling to bowl yorker balls.”
