22-year-old Harshit Rana rocked IPL 2024. This young pacer took 19 wickets in the season for Kolkata Knight Riders and became the fifth most successful bowler of the tournament. However, in the meantime, BCCI fined Harshit in one match for his aggressive celebration (Flying Kiss Celebration) and even banned him in one match. Now Harshit has opened up about this.
Actually, after the end of the IPL 2024 tournament, Harshit Rana has now given an interview to The Indian Express in which he answered many questions openly. Here he was also asked whether his aggression will be curbed in the future after being banned in the IPL or not?
Harshit clearly said 'no' while answering this question. Harshit Rana believes that he plays with his heart, which is why his aggression is visible on the cricket field and he will never reduce his aggression in the future. However, he is definitely going to change his way of celebration.
While answering this question, he said, 'There is no question. Next time I will try not to give that send off to anyone. This is my way of playing cricket. I have always played cricket like this. I am very fun off the field. You can ask this to anyone, but we have not come to the cricket field to make friends. Abhishek Porel hit me for 16 runs in the first over. Now if sixes are hit, the ego will get hurt. I took his wicket in the next over. That celebration was my redemption, but I was banned.'
Not only this, Harshit Rana has also spoken his heart out on Delhi players being ultra aggressive. Harshit says that 'Delhi players have been given the tag of being aggressive. We are Delhiites, we are emotional and play with our hearts. It is Delhi's aggression that has made Virat Kohli what he is today. Ishant Sharma has played 100 Test matches and Rishabh Pant has done wonders at Gabba. Gautam Gambhir has won two World Cups for India.'
Also know that 22-year-old Harshit Rana has won the IPL title with KKR, but his dreams are not limited to just playing and winning the IPL. Harshit Rana has made it clear that he wants to play cricket for the Indian team and he is trying hard to fulfill his dream.
