In the IPL 2024 final, Kolkata Knight Riders demolished Sunrisers Hyderabad for the third time in the season. Led by Shreyas Iyer, KKR emerged victorious to claim their third IPL title. Under the guidance of Gautam Gambhir, the team engineered a remarkable turnaround, ending a decade-long drought.

KKR’s team-oriented approach, rather than reliance on individual stars, powered their consistent efforts on the field that culminated in an IPL title win. Their bowling attack operated as a cohesive unit, with Varun Chakravarthy leading the way with 21 wickets, while six other bowlers also claimed 10 or more scalps.

Sunil Narine was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament thanks to his terrific all-round performance. Promoted to open the batting, Narine amassed 488 runs and claimed 17 wickets, proving instrumental to his team’s success.

RCB star Virat Kohli, claimed the Orange Cap for the second time in his career, scoring a remarkable 741 runs in IPL 2024. Despite his impressive performance, which included a century and five half-centuries, his team was unable to secure their first IPL title.

PBKS seamer Harshal Patel, won the Purple Cap for the second time after previously claiming the coveted prize in 2021 while playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Despite his impressive haul of 24 wickets, Punjab Kings endured another disappointing season, failing to qualify for the playoffs and finishing ninth in the league standings.
