Former England and Australia cricketers Kevin Pietersen and Matthew Hayden roasted Ambati Rayudu for changing his waistcoat after Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final of the Indian Premier League 2024.
Rayudu was supporting SRH in the final and was seen wearing a orange waistcoat before the start of the Hyderabad’s innings. However, he changed it to blue colour as soon as KKR completed the chase of 114 runs.
KP called the former India player a joker during the post-match show.
“He change his waistcoat from Orange to Blue,” Mayanti Langer said.
“Atleast I didn’t change my purple color waistcoat. You are a joker and will always be a joker,” Kevin Pietersen said.
“I am supporting both franchises. I am supporting good cricket,” Ambati Rayudu responded.
It was the most boring finale in the history of the cash-rich league. Andre Russell took three wickets, while Mitchell Starc and Harshit Rana added two scalps each as Hyderabad were bowled out for 113 runs.
