Lucknow: England cricket team's white ball captain Jos Buttler will not be a part of the third T20 match to be played against Pakistan in Cardiff. Let us tell you that currently a 4-match T20I series is being played between Pakistan and England. Its first match was washed out due to rain while in the second match the English team won by 23 runs and took a 1-0 lead in the series. Now the third match will be played on Tuesday and before that Buttler has returned to his home in London.

Actually, Butler has returned home due to his personal reasons and he is going to become a father for the third time. Butler is in great form at the moment and he performed Player of the Match in the first match. After this, his absence is a big setback for the team and veteran all-rounder Moeen Ali will be seen captaining the team in place of wicketkeeper batsman. Ali is currently the captain of the English team and he will be seen leading the team in the third match.
This news is a bit worrying for the English team as they have to play their first match in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 against Scotland on June 4. In such a situation, the England Cricket Board (ECB) will hope that Butler's child is born on time so that he can return to national duty soon. However, at present he has been released from the third match itself and it will be interesting to see whether the right-handed batsman will join before the fourth T20 match, which will be played at the Oval on May 30.
Moeen Ali, who captained in Butler's absence, said during a media interaction, “It is a matter of pride for me to captain England. Nothing is going to change in his absence. I will just carry forward what he was doing and will captain again after he returns. I hope the child is born at the right time so that he does not miss many matches.”
