Teams will play practice matches before playing matches in the World Cup and in this episode, Australia has to play a practice match against Namibia on 29 May. In such a situation, due to the Indian Premier League (IPL), many players have not been able to join the team yet, due to which captain Mitchell Marsh has given a big reaction regarding this. Actually, the final match of IPL 2024 was played between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Sunday, in which KKR won by 8 wickets.

Many big names of Australia were seen playing in the final match, including legendary players like Travis Head, Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins. Due to playing continuous matches in IPL, the players are currently on a short break, due to which they will not join the team. Due to the problem of shortage of players, the coaching staff of the Australian team may have to work as substitute fielders. In such a situation, while talking before the practice match, Marsh has given a big statement.

He said, “We have a shortage of players but this is a practice match. The players who need to play will play as much as they can and we will find some solution to it. The players who are playing in the IPL have played a lot of cricket. We have given them priority to meet their families and spend time with them to refresh themselves.”

Mitchell Marsh gave the latest information on his injury

Let us tell you that Captain Marsh has also been struggling with hamstring injury for the last few days. Due to this, he had left IPL 2024 midway and returned to his country. However, now the Kangaroo captain has given big information about his injury.

The star all-rounder said, “I am still not fully fit because I am not bowling at the moment. I hope to start bowling soon. For now, I will play in practice matches as a batsman and then I will also try bowling in the coming times. After being out of the IPL, I took my time and worked on the plans for the World Cup. Now I am fully ready to play.”
