The Sri Lankan team, which came to chase the big target of 184 runs, got a big blow in the very first over, when Kranti Gaur bowled Imesha Dulani (4). After this, captain Chamari Athapattu (36) and Vishmi Gunaratne (20) played cautiously and took the innings forward and added 58 runs for the second wicket.

Then the real storm of young spin bowler Shri Charani started. He destroyed the middle order and lower order and took 4 big wickets for just 20 runs by bowling 1 maiden in his 4 over spell. Mr. Charani showed the way to the pavilion to Harshita Samarawickrama (9), Nilakshika de Silva (22), Kavisha Dilhari (7) and Sugandika Kumari (1).
Deepti Sharma dismissed Kaushani Nutyangana (9) in the last over and bundled out the entire Sri Lankan team for 111 runs. Deepti took 3 wickets for 19 runs in 4 overs. Apart from them, Kranti Gaur (1/8), Prema Rawat (1/22) and Shefali Verma (1/23) got 1 success each.
