Lucknow: The final match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is being played between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. In this match, Hyderabad won the toss and decided to bat first but their batting proved to be a flop in the final match. In this match, fast bowler Mitchell Starc, who was included in the team for Rs 24.75 crore, bowled brilliantly and took a wicket in his very first over. This was the reason why SRs had to face defeat.

Hyderabad batsmen performed disappointingly in this match and their entire team was all out for 113 runs in 18.3 overs. With this, the record of the lowest score in the IPL final has also been registered in their name. Earlier, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) had scored 125 runs against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the year 2013. In this match, Starc bowled brilliantly and conceded 14 runs in 3 overs and took 2 wickets. In his very first over, he dismissed Hyderabad opener Abhishek Sharma on a personal score of 2 runs.
Veteran all-rounder Andre Russell also bowled brilliantly for Kolkata and took 3 wickets for 19 runs in 2.3 overs. Apart from him, Harshit Rana also sent 2 batsmen to the pavilion. Captain Pat Cummins was the best scorer from Hyderabad, who scored 24 runs with the help of 2 fours and 1 six in 19 balls. In this match, the batsmen of the team captained by Cummins could not withstand the pressure and their wickets kept falling continuously. Half of the Orange Army team had returned to the pavilion at 62 runs in this match.
After the first qualifier, Travis Head's bat failed once again in this match and he was dismissed for zero by KKR's fast bowler Vaibhav Arora. Sunil Narine, Varun Chakraborty and Vaibhav Arora also took one wicket each. Now it will be interesting to see how this final match is going to go on. Currently, Kolkata needs 114 runs in 20 overs to win.
