Delhi: Former veteran fast bowler of the Indian cricket team, Zaheer Khan has started a new innings of cricket by joining the Owner Group of Canada Super 60 League. Zaheer will now be part of the league's ownership group along with Nagendra Siddhautham and Stockholm-based Anchor Sports AB. With his joining, the league will get experience of international cricket.

Zaheer will be seen again with Yuvraj Singh

The most special aspect of this new role of Zaheer Khan is his reuniting with Yuvraj Singh. Both the players played together for the Indian team for a long time and were part of many memorable matches. Both of them also played an important role in India's World Cup winning campaign in 2011. Now after the cricket field, both will be seen together in a new business and sports project.

Anchor matches will be played in Vancouver

In Canada Super 60, the anchor team associated with the ownership group of which Zaheer is a part, will play its home matches at BC Place in Vancouver. This stadium is counted among the major sports venues in the world and will also be a major center for the matches of the second season of the league.

Zaheer expressed confidence about the league

Zaheer Khan said that Canada Super 60 is a great platform where emerging cricketers along with international level players can get a chance. He said that due to his long-time friendship with Yuvraj and his experiences on the field, he has confidence in the direction of the league. According to Zaheer, strong leagues and new opportunities in different parts of the world are necessary to take cricket forward.

The second season will start from September 29

The second season of Canada Super 60 will be played in Vancouver from September 29 to October 4. Six teams will participate in the tournament and a total of 24 matches will be held. This time, along with men, women's cricket competition will also be a part of the league.
