Kolkata Knight Riders beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets to become IPL champions for the third time. Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins won the toss and elected to bat first in the IPL 2024 final (May 26) at Chennai's Chepauk. After this, KKR bowlers bowled out Hyderabad for just 113 runs.

Kolkata Knight Riders were earlier IPL champions in 2012 and 2014. KKR won the IPL title by defeating Chennai Super Kings by 5 wickets in 2012 and Punjab Kings by 3 wickets in 2014.
