Lucknow: In the final match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) faced each other at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. During this match, KKR's experienced fast bowler Mitchell Starc bowled brilliantly and in his very first over, he dismissed the dangerous Hyderabad opener Abhishek Sharma. Kolkata maintained its strong hold in this match from the very first over and bowled out the opposition team for 113 runs.

Starc bowled brilliantly in this match and took two wickets. During this, he clean bowled Sharma with a great swing ball. This ball was very special because the ball fell on the leg stump and changed direction from there and hit the off stump, due to which the batsman was also surprised. Former Indian veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has made a big statement about his brilliant ball during a conversation on Star Sports.
He said, “For me this is the best ball of the tournament. Abhishek did not have any chance and he was also surprised because of this. The ball swung a lot and hit the off stump. After seeing this ball, it seemed that it was going to the leg stump but then it went to the off stump, for which the batsman had no answer.”
Let us tell you that Starc could not bowl well in the first few matches, due to which he was trolled a lot. However, in the last 5 matches, this bowler has returned to his old rhythm and he has taken 9 wickets during this period. On the basis of this performance, he has given a befitting reply to his critics. The left-arm fast bowler bowled 3 overs in this match and took 2 wickets for 14 runs.
Actually, Kolkata had included Starc in its team for Rs 24.75 crore and after this, he was criticized a lot for his poor performance but now he has made a great comeback.
