A stunning century from Dasun Shanaka powered a massive 137-run victory over Saint Lucia Kings, played at Basseterre.

Patriots who set to chase the mammoth score, got bowled out for 98, with Jeremiah picking five wickets. With this win, Lucia Kings secured the 4th spot in the CPL 2026 points table.

Being invited to bat first, Johnson Charles and Kyle Mayers opened the innings while Maheesh Theekshana opened the bowling attack.

Forde drew first blood dismissing Kyle Mayers for 1 run. With Johnson Charles and Andre Fletcher at crease, Patriots scored 59 runs in the powerplay.

The duo forged a 81-run partnership for the second wicket before the dismissal of Johnson Charles for 26 runs.

Dasun Shanaka who came to bat at No.4, joined forces with Fletcher. However, Andre Fletcher smashed 64 runs off 38 deliveries before being dismissed by Maheesh Theekshana.

Forde bagged second wicket dismissing Jason Holder for 1 run. Meanwhile, Dasun Shanaka smashed a 39-ball century and remained unbeaten with 121 runs. His knock included 8 fours and 12 sixes. By the end of 20 overs, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots set up a 236-run target for Lucia Kings.

Chasing a massive target, Tim Seifert and Kamil Pooran went on to the open the innings while Ashmead Nedd opened the bowling attack.

Ashmead Nedd got dismissed on a golden duck while Hasaranga bagged the wicket of John Campbell for 11 runs. With the dismissal of Charith Asalanka for 1 run by Naseem Shah.

With Tim Seifert and Obus Pienaar at crease, Saint Lucia Kings scored 46 runs in the powerplay. Hasaranga bagged his second wicket dismissing Obus for 10 runs.

Jeremiah Louis bagged the wickets of Roston Chase and Matthew Forde for 8 and 0 respectively.

Jeremiah Louis wiped out the remainder of the lower order as Lucia Kings bowled out for 98 runs. Jeremiah Louis bagged five wickets while Ashmead Nedd and Wanindu Hasaranga bagged two wickets each.

Dasun Shanaka was named player of the match. Speaking on the post match presentation, Shanaka said, “Initially, my plan was to play according to the merit of the ball, according to the field placing and how they were going to offer.
