SA vs ZIM 4th Match Playing 11: Bjorn Fortuin-led South Africa will square off against Sikandar Raza-led Zimbabwe in the 04th match of the Namibia T20I Tri-Series 2026, played at the Namibia Cricket Ground, Windhoek.
Both South Africa and Zimbabwe have one win each in the two games they have played so far in the ongoing T20I Tri-Series 2026. In the previous encounter, South Africa secured a 7-wicket victory against Zimbabwe.
South Africa and Zimbabwe have met on 10 occasions, where South Africa won on 9 occasions, while one game ended with no result due to rain.
South Africa won the toss and opted to bat.
Speaking at the toss, “We are going to have a bat first. Obviously, it’s a used wicket, and the conditions are quite dry, so we’ll look to put a good total on the board and then use those conditions to put pressure on them later.”“Not really. More than anything, we’re looking for a response and a strong bounce-back from the group as a whole. We’ll assess what the conditions offer on the day and adapt accordingly. Speaking on today’s South Africa Cricket Team playing 11, Fortuin said, “Just one change. Nqaba Peter comes in for Tony de Zorzi.
Meanwhile, Sikandar Raza said, “We wanted to bowl first anyway. We’ve had two good opportunities to see how the wicket behaves when batting first, and now we wanted to test ourselves in a chase. So, we were happy with either outcome.”
“We spoke about the areas where we could have done better, particularly one aspect of our batting and one in our bowling. If you try to analyse the entire game, there’s just too much information to take in,” added Sikandar Raza.
“The reality is that we did a lot of things well, but there were just a couple of areas we need to improve.
We’ve discussed those, and hopefully we can correct them. That’s what good teams do — keep learning, improving and making sure the graph continues to move upwards,” added Sikandar Raza.Speaking on today’s Zimbabwe Cricket Team playing 11, “Yes. Considering the schedule ahead and the injuries we’ve had in the squad, we’ve made a couple of rotation changes. Blessing (Muzarabani) sits out, with Kundai Matigimu making his debut, while Innocent Kaia comes in for Dion Myers.”
