Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins has won the toss and elected to bat first against Kolkata Knight Riders in the final of the Indian Premier League 2024.

“I am hoping that this pitch would play good in the first innings. There was no dew over here in the game we played against Rajasthan Royals. It is a different pitch but we are hoping to get a similar result,” Pat Cummins said on Star Sports.

Shreyas Iyer would have bowled first had he won the toss. “We would have bowled first because the pitch looks different. We easily completed the chase in Qualifier 1 against Hyderabad. The boys are excited as some of them are playing their first final,” Shreyas Iyer said.
