Delhi: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) fast bowler Harshit Rana believes that assessing the conditions will be important to win the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) title. Rana has been playing a key role in death over bowling for KKR. Rana spoke to Wisden India ahead of Sunday's match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The right-arm pacer said that the entire tournament was very tough for a bowler.

22-year-old Harshit Rana told Wisden India, “When we are playing on the field, the conditions are very stressful. The sooner you assess the conditions and wickets, the more beneficial it will be for me. So, my first focus and priority is to find out what will work on this wicket.”

When asked about his training, Rana said that he has put himself under pressure and tried to understand the match situations so that he can perform better under pressure. He has taken 17 wickets in 12 matches at an economy of 9.41.

Rana said, “It is difficult, but I am working hard on these. I keep working on these in practice sessions and it becomes easier for me to implement them during the game. It is difficult, but since I have worked hard on it during training, I know what I have to bowl when. I have put pressure on myself to perform better in different situations.”

KKR vs SRH – head-to-head record

Kolkata Knight Riders have reached the final by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 1 played in Ahmedabad. Now there will be a tough competition between the two teams in the title match today. If we talk about the head-to-head record between Sunrisers Hyderabad and KKR, a total of 27 matches were played between the two teams in the IPL, in which KKR won 18 matches, while Hyderabad won 9 matches. The Kolkata team will be looking for its third title.
