Sri Lanka lost four wickets for 84 runs

Sri Lanka, chasing a challenging target of 372 runs against India on the fourth day of the first Test of the two-match series on Tuesday, lost four wickets for 84 runs at the end of the day's play. Sri Lanka still needs 288 runs to win, while India will have to take six more wickets to win on a pitch conducive to spinners.

At the end of the day's play, captain Dhananjay de Silva was at the crease with 31 runs and Sonal Dinusha, who scored a century in the first innings, with 25 runs. For India, Manav Suthar took two wickets, while Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna got one wicket each. Earlier, India's second innings was reduced to 193 runs.
