A very exciting and big news is coming for the cricket lovers of Uttar Pradesh. The grand opening of the fourth season of UP T-20 League is going to take place from 14th August at Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. As per the schedule of this exciting tournament, 22 matches of the first phase of the league will be played in Lucknow from 14th to 26th August, while 12 matches of the second phase, including playoff and grand finale, will be held at the historic Green Park Stadium in Kanpur from 28th August to 6th September.

Just before the official start of the tournament, the governing council of the league and the captains of all six franchise teams paid a special courtesy call to the Speaker of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Satish Mahana. During this high-level meeting, all the players reached the assembly with the magnificent trophy, where detailed discussions were held regarding the preparations for the upcoming season, security arrangements and the grand event.

During this time, an excellent confluence of politics and sports world of Uttar Pradesh was seen. Prominent captains who reached the Assembly included Indian cricket legend and 'Lucknow Falcons' captain Bhuvneshwar Kumar, 'Kanpur Superstars' young and aggressive batsman and captain Sameer Rizvi, 'Noida Kings' captain Madhav Kaushik, 'Gorakhpur Lions' captain Aryan Juyal, 'Meerut Mavericks' captain Swastik Chikara and 'Kashi Rudras' captain Karan Sharma. Apart from this, Dr. Sanjay Kapoor, Chairman of the Governing Council of UP T-20 League was also specially present on this occasion.

During the meeting, Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana extended his best wishes to all the captains and players for the upcoming tournament and reiterated the government's resolve to promote sports culture in Uttar Pradesh. The captains of all the six teams are all set to take the field with their respective strong strategies.
