While Washington Sundar was initially expected to be named as a replacement for the second Test, which begins in Colombo on August 23, his inexperience in limited-overs cricket since the incident in England appears to be the primary impediment to his return. The medical staff will evaluate his condition next week to determine whether he can be added to the 16-member squad as a backup.
