Desk : A case of former Indian cricket team captain and former BCCI President Sourav Ganguly receiving threatening letters has come to light. It is being told that along with Sourav, his wife Donna Ganguly has also been threatened.

Let us tell you that Sourav Ganguly's secretary has lodged a complaint with the police regarding the entire matter. After receiving the complaint, the police of Thakurpukur police station of South Kolkata has started investigation.

Were receiving threatening letters for six months

According to the police, threatening letters were being sent to Sourav Ganguly at his home address for the last six months. Objectionable language was used in these letters.

Initially Sourav Ganguly did not take this matter seriously. The same family felt that perhaps someone was doing this due to personal resentment. However, after receiving continuous threat letters and wife Donna Ganguly's name surfacing, it was decided to lodge a complaint with the police.

Mobile number and address found in the letter

During the investigation of the case, the police also found a mobile number and address from the letters. Police are now investigating this number and the information to it. According to police officials, the number is being investigated through other means including Truecaller. Also, efforts are being made to find out who is the person sending the threatening letters.

Police is also collecting information from courier agency

Police said that the courier agency through which these letters were sent has also been contacted. The investigation is to find out whether all the letters have been sent by the same person or there is some other conspiracy behind it. At present the police is investigating the case and efforts are being made to identify the accused soon.
