Delhi: The injury concerns surrounding Indian captain Shubman Gill have now been put to rest. The team management has confirmed that Gill is fully fit and ready to lead the team in the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka. His fitness has breathed a sigh of relief for the Indian team.

Gill made a brilliant comeback on the third day of the practice match. India had to chase a target of 207 runs and Gill came in to open the innings. He had also batted in the nets beforehand. Coach Clarifies Injury
Indian spin bowling coach Sairaj Bahutule clarified Gill’s fitness status, saying that resting him was a precautionary measure. He stated that Gill has been practicing regularly and is not experiencing any major issues. Gill also participated in catching practice during the match.

Bahutule explained that Gill is taking his preparations very seriously, keeping in mind the challenge of the upcoming series. The Indian captain has prepared accordingly to perform well against Sri Lanka’s spin bowlers.
