Jemimah Rodrigues had a quiet day at the office, but Southern Brave emerged comfortable winners over London Spirit in their Hundred encounter at Lord’s on Saturday.

The win propelled the unbeaten Brave to 20 points after five matches, eight ahead of second-placed Trent Rockets, which has played one game less.

The Sophie Molineux-led side put the Spirit into bat after winning the toss and managed to restrict them to 114 for eight in 20 overs.

The South African pair of Marizanne Kapp and Nadine de Klerk scored 34 and 38 respectively to take Charlie Dean’s side to a resepctable total.

Maia Boucher’s brisk 46 helped chase the target down without much fuss. Jemimah contributed a 9-ball 12 featuring two fours before being castled by Kapp’s off-cutter.
