Delhi: 15 year old young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi performed brilliantly in the series against Zimbabwe. Suryavanshi scored two half-centuries in the three-match T20 series. He was chosen Player of the Series. After the end of the series, Team India’s head coach VVS Laxman praised the young batting. Laxman also gave him a special advice for the future.

Laxman praised Vaibhav a lot

Laxman praised Vaibhav profusely in the press conference after the third match. He says that in the last six months, Vaibhav’s understanding of the game has improved, due to which he is able to perform well under pressure even in front of the best players in the world. However, Laxman has advised him to work on overall fitness.

Laxman said, “The most impressive thing is that he has changed a lot as a person. His understanding, maturity and awareness of the game have improved tremendously in the last six months. That is why he is able to handle difficult situations well. He is performing brilliantly under pressure even against the best players in the world. However, we want him to work more on his fitness. We should also not forget that he is just 15 years old. He is still very young. And there are young players.”

Laxman further said, “Vaibhav is very mature for his age. That’s what I like most about him. With every experience and every match, he learns, assesses his mistakes and makes himself better than before. I think he not only reviews the matches but also every practice session very well and tries to learn from it.”

Vaibhav’s brilliant performance in the series

Vaibhav had made a great start to the series. He played a stormy inning of 50 runs in just 19 balls. After this, he failed to play a big innings in the second match. But in the third match he scored 81 runs in 49 balls. Vaibhav scored the maximum of 151 runs in three innings. Vaibhav was chosen Player of the Series for his excellent performance.
