Actually, Team India's experienced wicketkeeper batsman Dinesh Karthik is going to be seen in a new role in this World Cup. Karthik will not be seen with Team India but he will be seen in a different role.

Karthik's name is also in this list and he will be seen doing commentary in the marquee tournament. This is not the first time that Karthik will be seen in this role. Karthik participated in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 as a wicketkeeper batsman for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He performed well in this tournament and after this he has announced his retirement. Dinesh has announced his retirement from IPL. He made his last appearance in the league in the eliminator match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and will no longer be seen playing in it. The 38-year-old has played a total of 257 matches during his entire career in the IPL, in which he has scored 4842 runs at an average of 26.32 and a strike rate of 135.36. During this, 22 half-centuries have come from his bat, while his best score has been 97 runs.
