Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Rajasthan Royals: Sunrisers Hyderabad have entered the final by defeating Rajasthan Royals by 36 runs in the Qualifier 2 of IPL 2024. Playing first, Hyderabad team scored 175/9 in 20 overs, in response, Rajasthan team could score only 139/7 after playing the entire over. Now SRH will face Kolkata Knight Riders in the final to be played in Chennai on 26 May.

Sunrisers Hyderabad made a good score despite the flop performance of the top order

Rajasthan Royals won the toss and gave Sunrisers Hyderabad the opportunity to bat first and their bowlers took full advantage of it. Rajasthan lost the wickets of Abhishek Sharma (12), Rahul Tripathi (37) and Aiden Markram (1) in the powerplay itself. All of them were taken by Trent Boult. Klaasen along with Shahbaz Ahmed took the score past 150 and completed his half-century. His wicket fell in the 19th over. Shahbaz was dismissed in the last over after scoring 18 runs. Jaydev Unadkat scored 5 runs. Pat Cummins also returned unbeaten after scoring 5 runs. For Rajasthan Royals, Bolt and Sandeep Sharma took the maximum of 3-3 wickets.

Rajasthan Royals batsmen got into trouble against spinners

While chasing the target, Rajasthan Royals got the first blow in the fourth over and Tom-Kohler Cadmore became the victim of Pat Cummins after scoring 10 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal played some great shots but he also got out on a score of 65 in the eighth over after scoring 42 runs in 21 balls. From here the fall of wickets started and the score became 92/6 in no time. During this, captain Sanju Samson (10) was run out by Abhishek Sharma. At the same time, Riyan Parag (6) and Ravichandran Ashwin (0) became the victims of Shahbaz Ahmed. Dhruv Jurel's struggle went in vain

Amidst falling wickets, Dhruv Jurel took charge from one end and batted aggressively. The matter went to the last over, in which RR needed 42 runs in 6 balls but only 6 runs came and the team lost the match. Jurel scored an unbeaten 56 runs in 35 balls. For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Shahbaz Ahmed took the maximum three wickets and Abhishek Sharma took two wickets.
