Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Rajasthan Royals, Qualifier 2 : The second qualifier match of Indian Premier League 2024 was played between Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad. In this match, Hyderabad defeated Rajasthan by 36 runs and entered the finals.

In this match, Rajasthan had a target of 176 runs to win, but they could only manage 139 runs for 7 wickets. Now Sunrisers will face Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the final match on May 26. Kolkata had reached the final after defeating Hyderabad in the first qualifier.

Chasing 176 runs, Rajasthan scored 51 runs for one wicket in the Powerplay. Rajasthan were at 65 for 1 at one point, but then left-arm spinners Shahbaz Ahmed and Abhishek Sharma combined to turn the match around.

Shahbaz along with Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag and R. Ashwin Bad dismissed. While Abhishek took the wickets of Sanju Samson and Shimron Hetmyer. Dhruv Jurel certainly tried to take Rajasthan back into the game with an unbeaten 56 off 35 balls, but by then it was too late.

Jurel hit 7 fours and 2 sixes in his unbeaten innings. Yashasvi scored 42 runs in 21 balls with the help of 4 fours and 3 sixes.

Thus Rajasthan team could score only 139 runs in 20 overs. Shahbaz Ahmed took 3 wickets and Abhishek Sharma took 2 wickets for Hyderabad. Shahbaz scored 24 runs in 4 overs and Abhishek scored 23 runs in 4 overs. Now the final match between Kolkata and Hyderabad will be played on this ground on 26th May.

Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 175 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Henrik Klaasen top scored 50 runs for Hyderabad. Rahul Tripathi scored 37 runs and Travis Head scored 34 runs. Hyderabad once again got off to a flying start, but losing wickets at regular intervals could not put up a big score.
