In a shocking turn of events, Monica Wright has named Australian cricketer Ashleigh Gardner to be involved in an extra-marital affair with opening batter Georgia Voll. Wright and Gardner have reportedly separated recently after their marriage in April 2025, as things are not all well between the couple. Wright has openly accused Voll of being in an affair with her estranged wife Gardner. 

Shortly after the report of Gardner's and Wright's separation surfaced on the internet, the latter took to her official Instagram handle and namedropped Voll by sharing a picture of the cricketer, who joined the Australian set-up after her international debut in December 2024. 

"This is who my wife cheated on me with," she wrote on her Instagram story, sharing a picture of Voll.

Notably, Wright has been known to the Australia Women's team for well over five years, since she had been a long-time girlfriend of Gardner before the duo rang the wedding bells last year.

However, roughly six months into their marriage, when the team was in India for the Women's ODI World Cup 2025, things started to go beyond control between the couple.

All the Australian teammates who know Wright personally have reportedly reached out to her, stating that they felt sad about the news of her separation with Gardner. Meanwhile, the Australian all-rounder has not made any public appearance in the matter. She is known to be in Europe after recently winning the Women's T20 World Cup with the Aussie side, where she played a part as the co-vice-captain.

Voll's name being name-dropped by Monica is the biggest official development, and further details are currently awaited in this regard. Cricket Australia has not made any comment on the personal matter of the cricketer(s).
