Delhi: The final and fifth match of the 5-match series between England and India is being played in Southampton today. While coming to the stadium, Team India’s bus got stuck in traffic, due to which the toss was delayed by 45 minutes. Shreyas Iyer was successful in winning the toss in T20I for the seventh consecutive time.
Iyer has now become joint number one in terms of winning the most number of tosses consecutively. He has equaled MS Dhoni. After winning the toss, Iyer has invited England to bat first. The Indian team has made two changes in its playing-11. Sanju Samson has returned, he has replaced Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Whereas, Suryansh Shedge has replaced Washington Sundar.
On the other hand, a change has been seen in the England team. The English team has once again given a chance to Liam Dawson by excluding Ryan Ahmed.
India: Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan (wicketkeeper), Shreyas Iyer (captain), Tilak Verma, Shivam Dubey, Suryansh Shedge, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Prince Yadav, Prasidh Krishna
England: Phil Salt, Jos Buttler (wk), Harry Brook (c), Jacob Bethel, Tom Banton, Sam Curran, Will Jacques, Liam Dawson, Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid, Josh Tongue.
We have decided to bowl first. In the last few matches we have tried almost everything. Looking at the weather and pitch, it seemed that the wicket would not change much, so it would be better to bowl first.
I want the players to give their 100 percent and play with full confidence without worrying about the result. What changes happened in India’s playing-11 in the fifth T20 against England?
