England awaits another defeat for India; here is the T20 ranking position India will drop to if they lose the match.

In the fourth T20 match, England chased the target of 158 runs and won by losing just one wicket.

Bristol. After taking an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series against India, England captain Harry Brook admitted that he did not expect this T20 International series to be so one-sided, so his aim is to make a ‘clean sweep’ by winning the final match and oust the current world champions from the top position of the rankings in this format.

The first match of the series was washed out due to rain. In the fourth T20 match, England chased the target of 158 runs and won by losing just one wicket. Captain Brook scored an unbeaten 79 runs on 35 balls in an aggressive manner, while Phil Salt played an unbeaten inning of 59 runs on 42 balls.

Both the batsmen made an unbroken partnership of 146 runs for the second wicket and gave England an easy victory by nine wickets.

The final match of the series will be played in Southampton on Saturday. If England wins this too, it will overtake India and take the top spot in the ICC T20 International rankings. Brook said after the match, if we become the number one team in the world and England reach the semi-finals (in the Football World Cup), it will be a great achievement for us. He said, we have been told that as soon as we win the next match, we will reach the top ranking and that is definitely our big target.

Brooke said, India is a very strong team. This team has been a little short of its best performance in this series compared to the last few years, but we are happy that we executed our plans brilliantly. The England captain admitted that he did not expect such an easy success against India.
