Delhi: The last match of the five-match T20 series between India and England will be held on Saturday, July 11. This match will be played at The Rose Bowl Cricket Ground in Southampton. Earlier, former Indian cricketer Parthiv Patel has suggested India to make two changes in the playing-11. He has asked to oust vice-captain Tilak Verma. In place of Tilak, he has advised to bring Sanju Samson back into the team.

Parthiv gave suggestions to make two changes in the team

Apart from excluding Tilak, Parthiv has also suggested removing Washington Sundar from the playing-11. He believes that young all-rounder Suryansh Shedge should get a chance in place of Sundar.

Parthiv said during a discussion on GeoHotstar, “This decision is not easy. If Sanju Samson is to be included in the team, then the biggest question will be which player should be dropped in his place. In my opinion, I will make two changes. First, I will give a chance to Suryansh Shedge in place of Washington Sundar. With this, the team will have four main bowlers, while Shivam Dubey and Suryansh Shedge can also bowl two overs each if needed.”

“The question is, in whose place will Sanju Samson come into the team? I think that to maintain the balance of the team, vice-captain Tilak Verma will have to be dropped. In such a situation, Sanju Samson can join the team in his place.”

England won T20 series against India for the first time

This is the first time in a bilateral T20 series of two or more matches that England has defeated India. Earlier, out of six such series played between the two teams, India had won five, while one series was a draw.
