Seam-bowling all-rounder Shivam Dube has been named as a replacement for the injured Nitish Kumar Reddy in India's squad for the three-match ODI series against England, which begins in Birmingham. The announcement was made on Monday by BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia, who confirmed that Dube, currently in England for the five-match T20I series, will remain with the squad for the 50-over fixtures as Reddy continues his recovery from a quadriceps injury.

Reddy's ongoing rehabilitation had already ruled him out of the T20I series against Ireland and England, as well as the upcoming three-match series against Zimbabwe.
Dube, a two-time T20 World Cup winner, has played only four ODIs so far, scoring 43 runs and taking one wicket. His last ODI appearance came against Sri Lanka in Colombo back in August 2024.

Following the series opener at Edgbaston, India and England will face off in Cardiff on July 16 and at Lord's on July 19. After the ODI series concludes, Dube is set to travel to Zimbabwe, where the first T20I begins on July 23, followed by matches on July 25 and 26 at the Harare Sports Club.
