Manoj Tiwari Slammed Glenn Maxwell: Former Indian cricketer Manoj Tiwari has lashed out at the team's star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell for his playing mentality in the tournament after Royal Challengers Bangalore's journey ended in IPL 2024. Maxwell was out on a golden duck in the eliminator match against Rajasthan.

Tiwary also stressed that after Cameron Green's wicket fell, Maxwell needed to use his experience to build a partnership at that moment. But he tried to play a big shot from the very first ball and was caught at long-on.

When you play for Australia, you perform very well- Manoj Tiwary

Speaking to Cricbuzz after the match, Manoj Tiwary criticised Maxwell for his lack of commitment in the IPL and said, “I thought the Australian all-rounder was not serious at all during the tournament.”

He said, 'You (Maxwell) have a lot of experience in international cricket. When you play for Australia, you perform very well. But as soon as you come to the IPL, I don't know what happens to him. It seems that he is not interested. He doesn't care even if he gets out. The bank balance is fine, the check will reach him on time. He will have a get-together at night, laugh and click pictures.'

It is worth noting that in IPL 2024, Glenn Maxwell was able to score only 52 runs in 10 matches at a meager average of 5.78. Seeing his performance, there is already speculation that RCB will release Maxwell before the mega auction for IPL 2025.

Manoj Tiwari also talked about the performance of RCB

Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore qualified for the playoffs by winning their last 6 matches of IPL 2024 consecutively. But in the playoffs, the team proved to be a failure in every department.

Talking about the reason behind RCB's failure to win their maiden title in the mega event, Tiwary said, “What is the end result? You play to win. When Bangalore was not performing well, we were sitting here analysing why they were not performing well. At the end of the day, they can be happy that they qualified by winning six matches in a row, but the end result is the trophy, which they don't have. So that's where the problem lies.”
