The already-qualified Shivamogga Yodhas (SMY) take on the Mysore Warriors (MW) in Match 29, the penultimate game of the 2026 Maharaja Trophy on Tuesday, July 7, at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Both sides come into the game on the back of contrasting performances in their previous fixture.
The Yodhas have 10 points under their belt and have made safe passage to the playoffs. They have secured three consecutive wins in the tournament, with their most recent triumph coming against the Hubli Tigers by 38 runs on July 5.
The Warriors, meanwhile, have seven points from nine matches and desperately need a victory to have a slim chance of qualifying for the knockouts. Their most recent game was against the Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters, which they lost by eight wickets.

Widely regarded as one of the highest-scoring grounds in India, the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium is one where batters enjoy scoring runs. A combination of smaller dimensions and a flatish wicket aids quick run-scoring, with bowlers usually relying on their variations to get the wickets. The weather in Bengaluru is also expected to remain overcast with a small chance of rain, something which will help fast bowlers with the new ball.
