After the first T20I in Chester-le-street was washed out earlier this week, both India and England will look to take the lead in the five-match series when they lock horns in the second T20I on Saturday, July 4, at Old Trafford in Manchester.
In the first T20I, only the first innings was completed before rain played spoilsport. India posted 189/7 on the back of half-centuries from Abhishek Sharma and Shreyas Iyer. Shivam Dubey also chipped in with a swashbuckling cameo. However, Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan's form has been a concern so far in the United Kingdom. Tilak Varma has also flattered to deceive since being appointed vice-captain of the side ahead of the Ireland T20Is.
For England, Saqib Mahmood was the pick of the bowlers, bagging a three-for. Meanwhile, Like Wood proved to be expensive on the day and he could make way for Jofra Archer in the second T20I. It will also be interesting to see whether England continues playing three spinners, including all-rounder Will Jacks.

However, as the game progresses, spinners will have a role to play. Batters who are willing to spend time in the middle would be able to score a lot of runs. It won't be easy for a new batter to come and hit boundaries from the word go.ENG vs IND Head to Head T20I Record
