Royal Challengers Bengaluru failed to cross the Eliminator hurdle in the Indian Premier League 2024. Rajasthan Royals outclassed them by 4 wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Bengaluru were on a six-match winning spree, while Rajasthan were without a win in the last six matches. However, it was Royals from Rajasthan who had the last laugh despite being under the pump.
Glenn Maxwell again disappointed in the 17th season. He had a chance to win the important match for his side but played a reckless shot on the first ball of his innings and was caught in the long on area.
Former India player Manoj Tiwary launched a scathing attack on the Aussie all-rounder.
“Glenn Maxwell always performs for Australia in international cricket. However, there is no show when he comes to the Indian Premier League. He is not interested in the league. He doesn’t care if he gets out. Actually, he is getting money on time and the cheques are easily getting encashed. He will have fun in the night, have a laugh and get the photos clicked,” Manoj Tiwary said on Cricbuzz.
RCB won six successive games to make it to the playoffs in the 17th season. They lost the most important contest against Rajasthan. Tiwary refused to praise RCB for their undefeated run in the second half.
“”Where is the trophy? What was the end result? You play to win trophies and that’s where the actual problem lies with the RCB,” he added.
