According to reports, clouds of crisis are looming over the organization of the three-match T20 series to be played between India and Sri Lanka. The Indian team has to tour Sri Lanka in August, where first two Test matches and then three T20 matches are proposed. The Test series is part of the World Test Championship, while there is now uncertainty regarding the organization of the T20 series.

Discussion between BCCI and Sri Lanka Board

According to reports, there were long talks between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Sri Lanka Cricket Board regarding the T20 series. However, at present there is a possibility that the three-match T20 series will not be organised.

The upcoming schedule of the Indian team is very busy. Team India has to play a three-match T20 series against Zimbabwe in July. After this, two test matches are also to be played on the Sri Lanka tour in August, due to which the schedule has become more busy.
