How did Match 22 of the Women's T20 World Cup 2026 go between England Women and West Indies Women?

Hosts England Women became the first side in the 2026 Women's T20 World Cup to qualify for the knockout rounds after their 38-run victory over West Indies Women at Lord's on Wednesday, June 24. The Lionesses have a great chance to now finish at the top of Group B with one game in hand.

The Windies won the toss and put England into bat to make a great start, dismissing Amy Jones in the first over, bowled by Chinelle Henry. The hosts, however, soon took the game away from them, once again thanks to Danni Wyatt-Hodge. The right-handed batter, along with former captain Heather Knight, helped England put 186 runs on the board.

West Indies, in reply, never really got going and kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. The visitors were four down inside the first 11 overs with just 69 runs on the board. Henry, however, did provide a flurry of runs towards the end, hitting an unbeaten 51 off 30 balls. Her efforts were too little too late in the end, with England securing yet another comfortable victory in the T20 World Cup.

Best Batting Performance of the Match: Danni Wyatt-Hodge
