“We will bowl first. I am confident of my bowlers, and the wicket will suit them. If we bowl in the right areas, 140 is chaseable. Every game is crucial for us. We lost the game as we couldn’t execute our plans. However, we will try to give our best in today’s game,” Chamari Athapaththu said.

Ireland skipper Gaby Lewis is happy to bat first against Sri Lanka. She wants her batters to score heavily in the powerplay overs to put pressure on the rivals.

We are happy to bat first. We would like to set the tone in the powerplay. We have to go in the right direction, and this is what you want in a tournament like the World Cup. No changes from the last game,” she said.
