Delhi: Pakistan has released fast bowler Hasan Ali from its team ahead of the opening match of the four-match T20 International series against England to be played in Leeds on Wednesday. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that since senior pacer Haris Rauf has regained fitness, Hasan has been released to fulfill his commitments in English county cricket. Hasan was initially selected in the 18-member squad to go to Ireland, but now he is not part of the team. At the same time, Harris has been recovering from a back problem since February.

For your information, let us tell you that Ali played a T20I match for his team in Ireland, but he conceded a lot of runs. In such a situation, PCB may have decided to exclude him in view of the upcoming T20 World Cup. However, Pakistan is the only country that has not yet announced its 15-member World Cup squad.

The series between Pakistan and England is the last T20 series for both the teams before the World Cup. All the England players who were part of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) have returned home from India for the four-match T20 International series.

On the other hand, T20 World Cup 2024 will start from June 2 according to Indian time. This major tournament will be played in the United States of America and West Indies. The Indian team will start its campaign on June 9 with a high voltage match against Pakistan at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. Both the teams will be seen fighting each other for the first time in America. This match will be played from 8:00 pm Indian time. Rohit Sharma will take command of the Indian team. At the same time, Babar Azam will captain the Pakistan team.
