As batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continues to make headlines, his 10-year-old brother Aashirwad Sooryavanshi is in news now after smashing a century in a cricket match in Bihar.
Vaibhav, the 15-year-old wonderkid, recently won several awards at IPL 2026. He played for Rajasthan Royals (RR) and was also won the Orange Cap, highest run-getter in the tournament, besides other honours.

The left-hander’s exploits in IPL earned him a maiden berth in the Indian T20I team for the tour of the UK. He is the youngest ever to make it to the Indian cricket squad. He is currently in Sri Lanka, playing for India A in a tri-nation tournament.
Now, Vaibhav’s brother is doing the family proud.
Aashirwad hit 103 off 87 balls with 20 fours and a six while playing in a practice match for Cricket Academy Tajpur in Samastipur, Bihar. Thanks to his hundred, his side posted 234 for 4 in 29.5 overs.
After the knock, Vaibhav took to Instagram to congratulate his brother. Vaibhav wrote “Congratulations Ashirvad” and two red heart emojis with Aashirwad’s photo and the picture of the scorecard.
Recently, Indian batting legend Rahul Dravid praised Vaibhav and termed him “unique player”.
“Everyone should not be compared with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. He is a unique player. Such players come very rarely. We should recognise and appreciate that,” Dravid said.
“He is a special talent and we have to accept that. Hopefully, he continues to perform, goes on to play for India and wins matches for the country,” he added.
