UP Heavy Rain Forecast 12 June 2026: The weather has suddenly taken a turn amid the heat of June in Uttar Pradesh. While on one hand the strong sunlight and humidity are troubling people, on the other hand many districts are witnessing rain and hailstorm accompanied by movement of clouds, thunder and strong winds.
June 12, 2026 is being considered a very important day of weather change for UP. According to the Meteorological Department, thunderstorm activity may continue in many parts of the state for the next 24 to 48 hours. The wind speed is likely to reach 30 to 50 kilometers per hour, due to which people need to be cautious.Overall weather condition of UP today
Today the weather will not be the same in entire Uttar Pradesh.
At some places there will be strong storm, at some places light rain and at some places partly clear sky. Talking about temperature, the maximum temperature will be between 37°C to 44°C and the minimum will be between 25°C to 30°C. Humidity will also remain between 60% to 80%, due to which the effect of humidity along with heat will be felt more.Weather of Western UP (Agra, Aligarh, Meerut, Hapur)
The weather will be more unstable in western Uttar Pradesh today.
There is a possibility of hailstorm and lightning along with strong thunder and lightning in Agra and Aligarh. Wind speed can reach 40-50 kmph. Light rain and cloud movement will continue in Meerut and Hapur. This area will completely remain in the thunderstorm zone.Weather of Central UP (Lucknow, Kanpur, Banda, Ayodhya)
The weather pattern in Central UP will be quite mixed. There will be slight possibility of dust storm and rain in Lucknow. The temperature will be around 37°C. The effect of heavy stormy rain with thunder and lightning will be seen in Kanpur, the temperature can go up to 43°C.
Partial clouds and light relief will be seen in Banda, later the weather may clear. After light rain in Ayodhya, the sky will gradually start clearing.Weather of Purvanchal (Prayagraj, Banaras, Ballia, Gonda)
Today's weather will be most active in Purvanchal. Continuous thunderstorms and strong winds will continue in Prayagraj. Thunderstorms and rain may continue in Varanasi (Banaras) till June 14. Ballia and Gonda will remain cloudy with light rain, but after June 13 the weather will start clearing. This area is considered more sensitive to lightning strikes.
UP weather update for next 2-3 days
Thunderstorm activity may continue in many districts of UP between June 13 and 14. Especially in Prayagraj, Kanpur and Varanasi, the impact of rain and storm will be more. After June 15, the weather will gradually improve and the sky will become clear or slightly cloudy in most of the districts.
