Delhi: In the 4-match T20 International series starting from May 22, when Pakistan will face England under the captaincy of Jos Buttler, all eyes will be on veteran batsman Babar Azam. The matches will be played in Leeds, Edgbaston, Sophia Gardens and Kennington Oval on 22, 25, 28 and 30 May respectively.

Babar has been a prolific run-scorer for Pakistan and he would like to continue his form in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 to be held in the United States of America (USA) and West Indies. Recently, he became the most successful captain in T20Is, surpassing Uganda's Brian Masaba. Apart from this, he has also scored the most fifty-plus scores (38) in T20Is, surpassing Virat Kohli.
Azam recently played a key role in Pakistan defeating Ireland 2-1 in the 3-match T20I series. The right-handed batsman scored 132 runs at an average of 44 and a strike rate of 148.31, with 2 half-centuries and a top score of 75 runs. Babar has so far scored 3955 runs in 117 matches.

45 – Babar Azam is 45 runs behind from becoming the third batsman to score 4000 runs in T20Is. Virat Kohli and Suzie Bates are the other batsmen to achieve this feat.
83 – Babar Azam needs 83 runs to set the record for most runs in T20 International as a male player. Kohli is currently on top with 4037 runs in 117 matches.
48 – Babar Azam needs 48 runs to become the highest run-scorer in T20Is against England. This record is in the name of Virat Kohli, who has scored 639 runs in 20 matches.
95 – Babar Azam needs only 95 runs to become the highest scorer as a foreign batsman in T20Is on English soil. Australia's Aaron Finch held this record by scoring 370 runs in 6 matches at an average of 61.66.
