Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who played for the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2026, won five awards for his magnificent performance with the bat. He scored 776 runs in 16 matches and won the Orange Cap. The 15-year-old spoke to Ravi Shastri after the RCB vs GT final at the Narendra Modi Stadium on May 31.

“It feels nice to be among the performers. I am under pressure because of the interviews. It is a proud moment to win the Orange Cap, and I will try to do better in the next season,” Vaibhav said.

He opined on his success as a batter. “I back my game, and if the ball is there to hit, I will go for the shots. I try to play aggressively,” he added.

Sooryavanshi opened up on playing under pressure. “It is important to learn how to perform under pressure. I can’t play in one mode in every game, and changes are needed to score runs. You need to read the situation and play accordingly. There are many learnings from the 19th season,” he mentioned.

The southpaw will focus on his fitness.  “If I have to play for a long time, the fitness levels have to be top-notch. I will have to stay free of injuries and work on my fitness. The senior players back me. I have been helped by the support staff. I learned a lot from senior players,” he concluded.
