Gill completed his century in just 47 balls, which is the fastest century in IPL playoff history. In this case, he broke the record of RCB captain Rajat Patidar, who scored a century in 49 balls against Lucknow Super Giants in the 2022 Eliminator. Gill also became the first captain to score a century in the IPL playoffs. This is also the record for the biggest innings scored by a captain in the playoff stage.
