Latest News :- New Zealand team defeated Pakistan in the third T20 cricket match held in Rawalpindi yesterday (April 21). With this, the 5-match T20 series is tied at 1-1. Pakistan team, batting first, scored 178 runs for the loss of 4 wickets, New Zealand scored 179 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 18.2 overs. This wild victory of the new New Zealand team has created shock and a stir in the dressing room of Pakistan. New Zealand all-rounder Mark Chapman led the team to victory by scoring 87 runs with the help of 9 fours and 4 sixes.

Chasing the target of 179 runs, big hitters Tim Robinson (28 runs, 19 balls, 5 fours) and Tim Seifert (21 runs, 16 balls, 1 four, 1 six) started the action. But both were bowled out by Naseem Shah and Abbas Afridi respectively. In this, Tim Robinson was left blank on Naseem Shah's inswinging yorker, Seifert took the ball from the bat and left it on the stumps.

After the fall of two wickets, it seemed that New Zealand would not be able to win against Pakistan's excellent bowling with inexperienced players. But Mark Chapman used his Pakistan experience to play. Since the target was not big, Chapman chose shots brilliantly without looking at the ball and swinging the bat in the name of power hitting.

But Chapman was lucky as Naseem Shah dropped his sweep shot catch. This was the main reason for Pakistan's defeat. This is a setback for the Pakistan team, so Chapman has chosen Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah. Chapman hit Shaheen Afridi for 2 fours and a six in the 15th over. Soon Naseem Shah was brought in, but alas, Chapman hit him for 3 fours and 1 six. 23 runs were scored in this over and the run rate dropped drastically. He and Foxcroft (31) added 117 runs in 12 overs for the third wicket.

Pakistan failed to score a big target on the pitch which Babar Azam had earlier described as a batting pitch. New Zealand invited Pakistan to bat first. But New Zealand bowlers like Jack Fox, Ish Sodhi and Rourke kept Pakistan at bay. The popular pair of Babar Azam and Rizwan managed to score only 36 runs in 6 overs after the power play. Captain Bracewell defeated Babar of Assam.

In a way, Irfan Khan scored 30 runs in 20 balls and Shatab Khan scored 41 runs in 20 balls, taking the score to 178 runs. Ish Sodhi bowled brilliantly and took 2 wickets for just 25 runs. Mark Chapman proved that 178 runs is not enough on this pitch. He was also chosen man of the match.
