In this he wrote, “Thank you for the love and support you gave me… consider me retired after 7.29 pm.” Despite Dhoni staying away from social media, he is often seen using Facebook or Instagram for whatever announcements he makes.
However, he has not officially announced his retirement from IPL. Often many celebrities are seen making announcements from their Twitter (X) account, but Dhoni does not do so. Now Mahi has also answered this matter.
42 year old Mahendra Singh Dhoni said, “I prefer Instagram than Twitter. I firmly believe that nothing good happens on Twitter. You know, especially in India, there are always controversies. Someone will write something and it will turn into a debate, so why do I need to be on this forum? I think. There is a limit of 140 words for you and you cannot express emotions in a few words. Imagine, I wrote something there and then left it for people to read. “Then they interpret what they want to understand from it.”

He further added, “So Twitter is not for me. Instagram is still my favourite because I can post my picture or video or something and you can get the right idea from it. That is also changing now, so I prefer Instagram but I am not very active so it is better to have less distractions but I will continue to post updates on it so you can stay updated with me so I am doing what I like.”
